DIY Pencil Case
Do you fancy making your desk a bit snazzier, while also keeping it tidy? And do you also happen to have an old pair of jeans that you don’t wear any more? Follow this step-by-step guide to create your own customised pencil case, making the job an absolute cinch!
All you need is an old pair of jeans, a pair of scissors, a sewing machine (or good old needle and thread, if you don’t have one) and some sewing needles.
Now remove the two back pockets by cutting carefully along the seams.
Roughly separate the front, inner pocket from the outer part of the pocket ...
... and then trim it carefully along the seam.
Next you need to cut two or more belt loops from the waistband.
You should now have two back pockets, one small inner pocket and two belt loops, all cut from your old pair of jeans.
As a final step, you just need to sew all the parts together. Sew the two large rear pockets together along their seams.
You can attach the inner pocket and belt loops however you like.
Ta-daa! You have a customised denim pencil case to bring a bit of order and style to your desk.
