True Responsibility

The way we treat people is a key part of our corporate responsibility. The People area describes the principles that apply to us in dealing with employees as well as with regard to human rights along the value chain.

The relevant guidelines, standards and activities are anchored in our Code of Ethics, our commitment to the Diversity Charter, our participation in amfori BSCI as well as in our social engagement. In the following sections, we explain these topics and classify them.

The right way
Our Code of Ethics

Our Code of Ethics describes the principles that guide our actions within the company and along the value chain. It serves as a binding framework for how we interact with one another, for respecting human rights and for responsible business practices at Mustang.

The requirements set out in it include, among other things, human rights aspects, equal opportunities, a culture of inclusion as well as respectful and transparent conduct in everyday work. The Code of Ethics thus forms a central basis for decisions and processes within the company.

Information on possible violations of applicable law or the Code of Ethics can be reported via our whistleblower system – anonymously if desired or by providing personal data. The system is available to employees, business partners and external third parties. Further information can be found in our whistleblower policy.

This Code of Ethics describes our internal values and principles of conduct. It does not constitute a product or sustainability guarantee within the meaning of consumer protection law

Charta der Vielfalt

Mustang has been a signatory of the Diversity Charter since 2023 and is part of the nationwide network for diversity management. With this voluntary commitment, we affirm our dedication to promoting diversity and appreciation in the workplace. The Charter supports respectful interaction and raises awareness for equal opportunities and inclusion in the working environment.

Social engagement

Social engagement is part of our corporate self-image. It is guided by our values and the principles of our Code of Ethics.

As part of selected initiatives, we support social projects in various ways. These include, among other things, temporary project support, product donations and voluntary social activities by our employees, for example in the form of internships or social days. The type and scope of support depend on the respective project and current possibilities.

With our “Mustang for Kids” program, we bundle this engagement with a focus on projects for children and young people. The selection and design of the supported measures are carried out on a project-specific basis.

Social standards

We are committed to considering social standards along our value chain and to promoting appropriate working conditions within our sphere of influence.

We are a member of amfori, an internationally active business network for sustainable trade, and participate in the amfori BSCI program. The codes of conduct and monitoring mechanisms established there serve as an important guideline for our dialogue with our suppliers.

We work with suppliers who are connected to recognized social standards systems, for example through audits according to amfori BSCI or Sedex or through certification according to SA8000. Since 2021, we have also taken into account defined minimum requirements for relevant audit ratings as part of our supplier processes.
